Jackie
Chan has a huge fan base and a ever growing number of films.
As he is the most popular man in Asia i feel i should have a
page on my site about him. I am a huge Jackie fan (nearly as
much as Jet) I have many of his movies on video, including Drunken
Master, Rumble in the Bronx, Armour of God 1 and 2 and Police
story 1, 2 and 3 to name but a few. There is something about
watching a Jackie Chan film that is like watching no other star
in the world. He is the only man who will risk his life again
and again for a single shot in cinema history. He has hurt himself
many times and nearly killed him self on more than one occasion.
His style is very unique to, he is acrobatic, fast and stylish
all at the same time. Nothing new, but he does this with two
things unseen before him. He adds comedy and a high danger element
to his fights, these make them very slapstick and funny. But
at the same time make you stair in amazement at the crazy moves
and choreography he comes up with. He can pull of fights with
bikes, industrial machinery, ski's and even a children's play
ground. Jackie learnt all his martial arts and performing skills
when at school (a Chinese opera school.) He went through a hard
and crewel childhood, he would be hit for any little thing.
